The Permaculture Lens
The Akers' Eden serves as a wedding and event venue, as well as a place for community development, environmental conservation and farming education. Come learn with us about how we take steps in the right direction- for our environment, families and futures!

Merriam-Websters definition-
: an agricultural system or method that seeks to integrate human activity with natural surroundings so as to create highly efficient self-sustaining ecosystems.
Bill Mollison and David Holmgren coined the term permaculture and created the design principles used in this holistic method. Whether your project is in agriculture, industrialization, or conservation, this strategy facilitates a well rounded, 100% intentional design, so that all parts of the system created can be situated among each other and still thrive!

CALL TO ACTION
It is our responsibility to be the best version of ourselves, for ourselves, our future generations and our planet. We must do what is right, loving and generous. We must sow the seeds of what is righteous for our future generations to have a positive and strong foundation for our morals, ethics and values of our tomorrows.
Eleanor Roosevelt, Mahatma Gandhi & Princess Diana's words stand as the foundation of this venture...
Eleanor:
"-For our own success to be real, it must contribute to the success of others.
-The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
-Obedience may have its uses, but it is no substitute for willing, uncoerced co-operation.
-No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
Gandhi:
"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
Diana:
"-I think the biggest disease the world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved.
-Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back.
-I will fight for my children on any level so they can reach their potential."
